What Are Deep Funding Hackathons?

Deep Funding Hackathons are challenge-based competitions, currently held online, with the potential for in-person events in the future, that bring together developers, innovators, and problem-solvers to build AI-powered solutions for addressing real-world global challenges. Funded by the Deep Funding program, these hackathons provide participants with the opportunity to transform bold ideas into functional, impactful applications. The first Deep Funding Hackathon was initiated in 2024 as a community-driven effort by Ubio Obu, launched alongside the creation of the Developer Outreach Circle. The primary goals of these hackathons include:

Increasing developer awareness of Deep Funding opportunities
Growing a global community of innovators
Promoting the use of AI services already available on the SingularityNET Marketplace
Attracting high-quality AI solutions aligned with SingularityNET’s long-term vision

The Developer Outreach Circle plays a crucial role in these efforts, working to foster developer engagement and sustain a thriving ecosystem of AI-driven projects. This Circle was the first to be entirely established by the community, without direct involvement from Deep Funding staff, reflecting the initiative’s decentralized and collaborative approach.
