Eligibility criteria: 

Attendees from all backgrounds, genders, and geographies are welcome. There is no age restriction to attend the hackathon. In case you are under 18, your parents/legal guardian should contact the hackathon to request a waiver authorizing you to attend the hackathon and submit their plan for your attendance to the hackathon.

If a Team or Organization is entering the Hackathon, they must appoint and authorize one individual (the “Representative”) to represent, act, and enter a Submission, on their behalf. By entering a Submission on behalf of a Team or Organization you represent and warrant that you are the Representative authorized to act on behalf of your Team or Organization.

There is no country restriction but you must be eligible to receive prizes (in case you win) and you are responsible for paying any taxes on the prize winnings.

Code of Conduct:

There is no discrimination based on race, religion, national origin, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, economic status, veteran status, disability, or age.

Judging criteria: 

Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by Deep Funding. This may change before or during the Judging Period. Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges, at the discretion of the sponsor. Feasibility, Challenge alignment and Global impact.

Rules: 

1. Teams can consist of a maximum of five members. Contact the hackathon committee in case you need to have a team of more than five members.

1. Teams should be made up exclusively of participants who are not organizers, volunteers, judges, sponsors, or in any other privileged position at the event.

1. Changes to team members are not permitted after the 17th of April at Noon UTC. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis as decided by the rules committee.

1. Teams can work on any project within the given problem statement.

1. All team members should be present virtually at the event.

1. The Hackathon participants should check in to the Mattermost channel.

1. All work on a project should be done at the hackathon.

1. All code developed during the Hackathon should be the original work of the team. Participants cannot use code or assets created by someone else without proper permissions or licenses.
2. Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed.
3. Teams must stop hacking once the time is up. However, teams are allowed to debug and make small fixes to their programs after time is up. e.g. If during demoing your hack you find a bug that breaks your application and the fix is only a few lines of code, it’s okay to fix that. Making large changes or adding new features is not allowed.

1. Teams must submit their code and project documentation before the specified deadline. Late submissions may result in penalties or disqualification.

1. Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers’ discretion. Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, breaking the Code of Conduct, or other unsporting behavior.

1. Participants are required to submit visual content that may include photographs, videos, or presentations to be used by the organizers for promotional or media purposes.

1. After the Hackathon, participants will have up to 2 – 3 days to present their pitch deck to the Jury.

Note:

• Deep Funding reserves the right to limit funding if submissions do not meet the expected quality criteria. Deep Funding also reserves the right to extend the challenge.

• Chosen ideas from the Ideation Challenge AI4P will be used as theme tracks for the Hackathon and possibly into an RFP, by participating in this challenge, participants tacitly consent to the possible use of their ideas for this purpose.
