September 19, 2024 Read moreIn what should regarded as Jan's introductory presentation on the DF Community decision making framework, Three Tiers of Decision making levels were identified and three possible areas of questions and discussions were highlighted. The conversations began with the order by which RFPs are selected, voted and funded and moved on after some deliberations into what might be the future of budgeting within the Deep Funding Circles. Deep Funding Town Hall #26 A session of"OpenCog Hyperon RPFs WorkShop" Join the live broadcast
The townhall started with an event and deepfunding introduction from Ayo our host. First presentation by Guillermo Lucero. He presented on the ideation of the CollabHub — a DFR4B funded proposal. Vital discussions ensued as regards what next on the timeline for the CollabHub project, conversations around it been instituted through an RFP is favoured. Second Presentation by Andrea Reyes gave updates on the Hackathon with very good emphasis on lessons learnt, safe to say we will be having a lot more Hackathons in our future. Anthony Oliko had the third presentation about the Ideation project called ASI Payment Gateway, for end users and AI developers, Jan mentioned that a few considerations Anthony might like to include in his work. And Finally, Jan presented updates on the deep funding website, additional one week added to the RFP closing date and the Google Calendar feature on our community website, from where we all can add Deep Funding events to our personal calendars. For closing remarks, Ayo thanked everyone for attending, participating and contributing.

The TownHall had over 27 people in attendance. Ayo briefly presented about our community website. While Ale of Nerdconf shared the teams milestone achievements. Rafael presented on the proposed Deep Funding Round 5 changes. It was overall a very engaging and stimulating town hall sessions that saw about 23 people sticking it out for over two and a half hours.
This week’s Open All Hands call will be a relaxed call atmosphere for Circle members to raise whatever topics they find interesting for discussion. Also an excellent avenue to get the Circles/individual thoughts on any matter/idea regarding any Deepfunding operations of your choice.

Deep Funding is a community-driven web3 grant program designed to accelerate the development of beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in collaboration with SingularityNET and OpenCog Hyperon. The program is governed by a community-centered approach, where members play a vital role in decision-making and project evaluations. With a small core team, the majority of tasks are handled by a diverse global community of semi-volunteers, all united in their mission to make the world a better place. The program has expanded rapidly, growing from one Circle in 2023 to nine in 2024, reflecting its dynamic nature. Regular events like Town Halls and All Hands meetings foster community engagement and governance participation. Deep Funding continues to evolve, with ongoing initiatives such as cross-circle Workgroups that explore key topics in depth. This website embodies the program’s commitment to community involvement and transparent governance.
