About Deep Funding

Deep Funding is SingularityNET’s Decentralized Grants Program, which supports and funds AI builders and researchers to build innovative AI services that grow our Decentralized AI Platform and Marketplace. Our platform transforms how organizations accelerate innovation, research, and development by empowering governments, enterprises, and research institutions to host or co-host funding rounds, release Requests for Proposals (RFPs), run ideation challenges, and collect targeted R&D data. Through the power of AI and decentralized participation, we make innovation more inclusive, efficient, and impactful.

About the role

BizDev Team Member

We are seeking strategic members for Deep Funding’s Business Development Circle (which is in development) with a passion for emerging technologies, especially AI and blockchain.
You will contribute to identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with governments, research institutions, innovation agencies, and corporate R&D departments.
Your focus, together with the other Business Development Circle members, will be on expanding Deep Funding’s partnership base, driving platform adoption, and building strategic relationships to position Deep Funding as a leader in AI innovation funding and AI research and development acceleration.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Sales

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with public institutions, corporate R&D, innovation hubs, foundations, and accelerators

Evaluate and analyze new, potential partnerships and opportunities

Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and expand platform adoption

Be involved in full sales cycles from lead generation to proposal development, pitch presentations, negotiation, and deal closure

Strategic Partnerships

Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders (government bodies, research leaders, ecosystem builders, mission supporters etc.)

Identify partnership opportunities for joint funding rounds, RFPs or RFP ideation challenges

Maintain, nurture and monitor relationships with partners

Maintain and update partnership database

Platform Adoption & Partnership Success

Understand client innovation, research, and development goals and position Deep Funding’s platform features as tailored solutions to cater to the needs of our partners

Collaborate with other Circles e.g. Product, Marketing, Developer Outreach etc. to ensure seamless onboarding, education, and other service offerings

Develop and update educational materials for partners to ensure they have the information they need

Market research & Positioning

Monitor trends in AI, R&D funding and innovation funding and gather new data for the purpose of innovation and marketing

Provide feedback from market research, attending events, communicating with clients etc. to inform product roadmap, positioning, and service offerings

Reporting and Strategic Decisionmaking Based on KPIs

Evaluate and track outcomes of partnership deals

Report on business development KPIs

Reflect and make strategic decisions based on those data points

Qualifications & Experience

(Not all are necessary in order to apply)

Experience in business development, partnership management, or sales – ideally in tech, SaaS, or R&D/innovation consulting

Knowledge and understanding of the SingularityNET / Deep Funding ecosystem, platform, mission, vision, and values

Experience in growth hacking strategies to acquire and retain customers

Proven track record of closing deals and building partnerships in B2B,  B2G or B2C environments

Experience working with businesses, public institutions, government agencies, or academic/research organizations

Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills ( English) and confidence to pitch, negotiate and sell

Self-motivated and strategic thinker

Familiarity with innovation funding models, RFPs and R&D cycles

Professional training in sales, negotiation and public speaking/presenting

Multilingual abilities or experience working in international markets

A stable internet connection to take part in online meetings and ability to turn on your camera/speak on camera
